Writing

I have enjoyed over the last year and a half writing for www.gentlereformation.com. Today, I posted an article about our need to be introspective and take a good look at our hearts. I encourage you to give this a read - Keep your Heart

Also, this month saw the launch of a new site www.seventeen82.com. This page is mainly ARP members writing about Christian life, ministry, and issues in our church.

Re-Opening

The Adult Fellowship class is now a hybrid class being both in-person and online. Please be patient as we are working our way through the many issues and challenges of the present day. We are working on a plan that will allow us to have in-person Sunday school for our Discussion groups and our youth on Sunday nights. Pray that we will have wisdom and that we will be safe.

Sermon Preview:

Sunday Morning - Daniel 1:11-21

Daniel finds himself in captivity and being re-educated in the ways of Babylon. He decides to draw a line on what they eat, and He does not take no for an answer. See How God upholds his people even in bad times, also as empires rise and fall.

Sunday Night - 1 Corinthians 1:1-11

This letter is a book, like Daniel, that speaks to us in our day and age. We are seeing the results of our turning from God as a culture. This culture is similar to what the Christians in Corinth were facing. From the first, Paul talks about Suffering, Affliction, and the comfort we have in Jesus Christ.

Prayer Items:

Pray for James Deese's daughter, who is pregnant and having issues.

Pray for the Crawfords as they are moving.

Pray for those dealing with cancer and chronic illness.

Pray for several folks in our church family that are looking for work.

Pray for a consensus on how to open our society back up.

Pray for our nation.

Pray for revival in our church and world.
