Tuesday Briefing: August 4, 2020

Fifteen Years:
This week marks 15 years since Kelly and I came to Lancaster with a young girl starting school and a one-year-old just learning to walk - how the time has flown. Now we have a college senior, a high school junior, and two more in middle school. It has been a true blessing to be the pastor of this congregation. It is a special place filled with special people.

Over the years, we have faced many challenges and experienced many blessings. As we take stock of the years, I am convinced that it is not great plans or ability that God blesses, but rather a people who humbly walk with God by prayer and in the Word.

Join me as we continue this journey together with God walking together in prayer and the Word.  As we continue to join together to worship God and to serve each other and our community. Thank each of you for being a blessing in the last 15 years. May God continue to bless his church.

Prayer Items:
  • Continue to pray for Dell Ghent. She is at home and building her strength back. Pray for Butch and rest of the family.
  • Pray for James Deese - He has had issues with breathing at night. They are going to raise the pressure on his C-Pap machine. Pray that this will solve the problem.
  • Pray for an end to the COVID Virus - That we can again safely return.
  • Pray that we will have a calm spirit - Help us trust in you as our all-knowing God. Protect us from evil in every form and keep us safe and free.
  • Pray that we will seek you in your Word and turn from our sin and follow you!
